35 예수께서 여리고라는곳 가까이에 가셨을 때의 일이였다. 어떤 소경이 길가에 앉아 구걸하고 있다가36 군중이 지나가는 소리를 듣고 무슨 일이냐고 물었다.37 사람들이 나사렛예수가 지나가신다고 하자38 그 소경이 ≪다윗의 자손인 예수님. 저에게 자비를 베풀어 주십시오.≫라고 소리질렀다.39 앞서가던 사람들이 그를 꾸짖으면서 떠들지 말라고 일렀다. 그러나 그는 더욱 큰 소리로 ≪다윗의 자손이여, 저에게 자비를 베풀어 주십시오.≫라고 웨쳤다.40 예수께서 걸음을 멈추고 그 소경을 데려오라고 하셨다. 소경이 가까이에 오자41 ≪나에게서 바라는 것이 무엇이냐.≫고 물으셨다. 그는 ≪주님, 볼수 있게 해주십시오.≫라고 대답하였다.42 그러자 예수께서는 ≪자, 눈을 떠라. 너의 믿음이 너를 살렸다.≫고 말씀하셨다.43 그러자 그 소경은 곧 보게 되여 하나님께 감사하면서 예수를 따랐다. 이것을 본 사람들은 모두 하나님을 찬양하였다.
Mark 10
46 And they came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside.47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”48 And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”49 And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.”50 And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus.51 And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”52 And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
Matthew 20
29 And as they went out of Jericho, a great crowd followed him.30 And behold, there were two blind men sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”31 The crowd rebuked them, telling them to be silent, but they cried out all the more, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”32 And stopping, Jesus called them and said, “What do you want me to do for you?”33 They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.”34 And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him.
