2 예수와 제자들이 가끔 거기에 모이군 했었기 때문에 예수를 잡아줄 유다도 그곳을 잘 알고있었다.3 그래서 유다는 대제사장들과 바리새파사람들이 보낸 경비병들과 한떼의 군인들을 데리고 그리로 갔다. 그들은 무장을 갖추고 등불과 홰불을 들고있었다.4 예수께서는 자기 신상에 닥쳐올 일을 모두 알고 앞으로 나서시며 ≪너희는 누구를 찾느냐?≫ 하고 물으셨다.5 그들이 ≪나사렛사람 예수를 찾소.≫ 하자 ≪내가 그 사람이다.≫라고 말씀하셨다. 예수를 잡아줄 유다도 그들과 함께 서있었다.6 예수께서 ≪내가 그 사람이다.≫라고 하셨을 때 그들은 뒤걸음을 치다가 땅에 넘어졌다.7 예수께서 다시 ≪너희는 누구를 찾느냐?≫ 하고 물으시자 그들은 ≪나사렛사람 예수를 찾소.≫라고 대답하였다.8 ≪내가 그 사람이라고 하지 않았느냐, 너희가 나를 찾고있다면 이 사람들은 가게 내버려두어라.≫ 하고 예수께서 말씀하셨다.9 예수께서는 ≪나에게 맡겨주신 사람을 하나도 잃지 않았습니다.≫라고 하신 말씀을 이루려고 그렇게 말씀하셨던 것이다.10 이때에 시몬 베드로가 허리에 차고있던 칼을 뽑아 대제사장의 종을 내리쳐 오른쪽 귀를 잘라버렸다. 그 종의 이름은 말고였다.11 이것을 보신 예수께서 베드로에게 ≪그 칼을 칼집에 꽂으라. 아버지께서 나에게 주신 이 고난의 잔을 내가 마셔야 하지 않겠느냐.≫ 하고 말씀하셨다.12 그때에 군인들과 그 사령관과 유대사람의 경비병들이 예수를 붙잡아 묶어서
Luke 22
47 While he was still speaking, there came a crowd, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him,48 but Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”49 And when those who were around him saw what would follow, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.51 But Jesus said, “No more of this!” And he touched his ear and healed him.52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?53 When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”

43 And immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.44 Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss is the man. Seize him and lead him away under guard.”45 And when he came, he went up to him at once and said, “Rabbi!” And he kissed him.46 And they laid hands on him and seized him.47 But one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear.48 And Jesus said to them, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me?49 Day after day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me. But let the Scriptures be fulfilled.”50 And they all left him and fled.51 And a young man followed him, with nothing but a linen cloth about his body. And they seized him,52 but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked.

47 예수의 말씀이 채 끝나기도전에 열두 제자중의 한 사람인 유다가 다가왔다. 그를 따라 대제사장들과 백성의 원로들이 보낸 무리가 칼과 몽둥이를 들고 몰려왔다.48 배반자는 그들과 미리 암호를 짜고 ≪내가 입맞추는 사람이 바로 그 사람이니 붙잡아라≫고 일러두었던 것이다.49 그는 예수께로 다가와서 ≪선생님, 안녕하십니까.≫라고 인사하면서 입을 맞추었다.50 예수께서 ≪자 이사람아, 어서 할 일이나 하라≫고 말씀하시자 무리들이 달려들어 예수를 붙잡았다.51 그때에 예수와 함께 있던 사람들중의 한 사람이 칼을 빼여 대제사장의 종의 귀를 쳐서 잘라버렸다.52 그것을 보시고 예수께서는 그에게 ≪칼을 도로 칼집에 넣어라. 칼을 쓰는 사람은 칼로 망하는 법이다.53 내가 아버지께 청하기만 하면 당장에 열두 군단도 넘는 천사를 보내주실수 있다는 것을 모르느냐.54 그러나 그렇게 한다면 이런 일이 반드시 일어나리라고 한 성서의 말씀이 어떻게 이루어지겠느냐.≫고 하시면서55 무리를 둘러보시며 이렇게 말씀하셨다. ≪너희는 전에 내가 날마다 성전에 앉아서 가르치고 있을 때에는 나를 잡지 않다가 지금은 칼과 몽둥이를 들고 나를 잡으러 왔으니 내가 강도란 말이냐.56 그러나 이 모든 것은 예언자들이 기록한 말씀이 이루어지는 것이다.≫ 그때에 제자들은 예수를 버리고 모두 달아났다.
