1 그후 예수께서 갈릴리호수 곧 디베랴호수 건너편으로 가셨는데2 많은 사람들이 떼를 지어 예수를 따라갔다. 그들은 예수께서 병자들을 고쳐주신 기적을 보았던 것이다.3 예수께서는 산등성이에 오르셔서 제자들과 함께 자리잡고 앉으셨다.4 유대사람들의 명절인 유월절이 이제 얼마 남지 않은 때였다.5 예수께서는 많은 군중이 자기에게 몰려오는 것을 보시고 빌립에게 ≪이 사람들을 다 먹일만한 빵을 우리가 어디서 사올수 있겠느냐?≫ 하고 물으셨다.6 이것은 다만 빌립의 속을 떠보려고 하신 말씀이였고 예수께서는 하실 일을 이미 마음속에 작정하고 계셨던 것이다.7 빌립은 ≪이 사람들에게 빵을 조금씩이라도 먹이자면 200데나리온어치를 사온다 해도 모자라겠습니다.≫라고 대답하였다.8 제자중에 한 사람이며 시몬 베드로의 동생인 안드레는9 ≪여기 웬 아이가 보리빵 다섯개와 작은 물고기 두마리를 가지고 있습니다마는 이렇게 많은 사람에게 그것이 무슨 소용이 되겠습니까.≫라고 말하였다.10 예수께서 그들에게 ≪사람들을 모두 앉혀라≫라고 분부하셨다. 그곳에는 풀이 많았는데 거기에 앉은 사람은 남자만 약 5천명이나 되였다.11 예수께서는 손에 빵을 드시고 감사의 기도를 올리신 다음 거기에 앉아있는 사람들에게 달라는대로 나누어주시고 물고기도 그와 같이 하여 나누어주셨다.12 사람들이 모두 배불리 먹고난 뒤에 예수께서는 제자들에게 ≪남은 부스레기를 다 모아들이고 조금도 버리지 말라.≫고 이르셨다.13 그래서 제자들이 보리빵 다섯개를 먹고 남은 부스레기를 모았더니 열두광주리에 가득찼다.14 예수께서 하신 기적을 보고 사람들은 ≪이분이야말로 세상에 오시기로 된 예언자이시다.≫ 하고 저마다 말하였다.15 예수께서는 그들이 자기를 억지로라도 왕으로 모시려는 것을 알아채시고 혼자서 다시 산으로 피해가셨다.
Luke 5
1 On one occasion, while the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret,2 and he saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets.3 Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people from the boat.4 And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”5 And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.”6 And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking.7 They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.8 But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken,10 and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.”11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.
Luke 9
11 When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God and cured those who had need of healing.12 Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him, “Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.”13 But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.”14 For there were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”15 And they did so, and had them all sit down.16 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd.17 And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.
Mark 6
31 And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.32 And they went away in the boat to a desolate place by themselves.33 Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they ran there on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them.34 When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things.35 And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late.36 Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”38 And he said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.”39 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass.40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties.41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all.42 And they all ate and were satisfied.43 And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish.44 And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.45 Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd.46 And after he had taken leave of them, he went up on the mountain to pray.
