3 예수께서는 산등성이에 오르셔서 제자들과 함께 자리잡고 앉으셨다.4 유대사람들의 명절인 유월절이 이제 얼마 남지 않은 때였다.5 예수께서는 많은 군중이 자기에게 몰려오는 것을 보시고 빌립에게 ≪이 사람들을 다 먹일만한 빵을 우리가 어디서 사올수 있겠느냐?≫ 하고 물으셨다.6 이것은 다만 빌립의 속을 떠보려고 하신 말씀이였고 예수께서는 하실 일을 이미 마음속에 작정하고 계셨던 것이다.7 빌립은 ≪이 사람들에게 빵을 조금씩이라도 먹이자면 200데나리온어치를 사온다 해도 모자라겠습니다.≫라고 대답하였다.8 제자중에 한 사람이며 시몬 베드로의 동생인 안드레는9 ≪여기 웬 아이가 보리빵 다섯개와 작은 물고기 두마리를 가지고 있습니다마는 이렇게 많은 사람에게 그것이 무슨 소용이 되겠습니까.≫라고 말하였다.10 예수께서 그들에게 ≪사람들을 모두 앉혀라≫라고 분부하셨다. 그곳에는 풀이 많았는데 거기에 앉은 사람은 남자만 약 5천명이나 되였다.11 예수께서는 손에 빵을 드시고 감사의 기도를 올리신 다음 거기에 앉아있는 사람들에게 달라는대로 나누어주시고 물고기도 그와 같이 하여 나누어주셨다.12 사람들이 모두 배불리 먹고난 뒤에 예수께서는 제자들에게 ≪남은 부스레기를 다 모아들이고 조금도 버리지 말라.≫고 이르셨다.13 그래서 제자들이 보리빵 다섯개를 먹고 남은 부스레기를 모았더니 열두광주리에 가득찼다.14 예수께서 하신 기적을 보고 사람들은 ≪이분이야말로 세상에 오시기로 된 예언자이시다.≫ 하고 저마다 말하였다.
Luke 9
12 날이 저물어가자 열두제자가 예수께로 와서 ≪여기는 외딴곳이니 군중을 헤쳐 제각기 근방 마을과 농촌으로 가서 잠자리와 먹을 것을 얻게 하는 것이 좋겠습니다.≫라고 하였다. 그러자13 예수께서는 ≪너희가 먹을 것을 주라.≫고 하시였다. 제자들은 ≪지금 저희에게는 빵 다섯개와 물고기 두마리밖에 없습니다. 어데 가서 이 모든 사람을 먹일한만 음식을 사오라는 말씀입니까.≫고 물었다.14 거기에 모인 군중은 장정만도 5천명가량이나 되였다. 예수께서는 제자들에게 군중을 한 쉰명씩 떼지어 앉히라고 하시였다.15 제자들은 예수가 지시한대로 사람들을 모두 앉히였다.16 예수께서는 빵 다섯개와 물고기 두마리를 손에 들고 하늘을 우러러 감사의 기도를 드리신후에 그것을 떼여 제자들에게 주시며 군중에게 나누어주도록 하시였다.17 이리하여 사람들이 모두 배불리 먹고 남은 부스레기를 모아들이였더니 열두광주리나 되였다.
Mark 6
33 Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they ran there on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them.34 When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things.35 And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late.36 Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”38 And he said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.”39 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass.40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties.41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all.42 And they all ate and were satisfied.43 And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish.44 And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.
Matthew 14
14 When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.15 Now when it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages and buy food for themselves.”16 But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.”17 They said to him, “We have only five loaves here and two fish.”18 And he said, “Bring them here to me.”19 Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.20 And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over.21 And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
